As a professional, your pool may be inflated, deflated, folded, unfolded and stored many times, sometimes in different temperature conditions. Over time, this repeated handling can stretch the vinyl and weaken the seams, potentially making the pool less reliable.

With more than 15 years of experience selling and renting birth pools, we believe that 40 uses is the appropriate limit for a professional birth pool. Beyond this point, we consider continued use an unnecessary risk. When it comes to the wellbeing of mothers, babies and birth professionals, we believe it is better to err on the side of caution.

There is no charge for the replacement pool. The customer is responsible only for the shipping cost.

Who is eligible?

This offer is available to hospitals, maternity units, midwives and doulas who purchase a NEW GENERATION Professional Pool directly from our La Bassine website.

The scheme applies only to NEW GENERATION Professional Pools. It does not apply to previous-generation pools.

Pools purchased through distributors, resellers or other third parties are not eligible for this offer.

For a birth to count towards the 40-birth total: A genuine La Bassine liner must be used for that birth The liner must have been purchased directly from La Bassine.

The pool must be a NEW GENERATION Professional Pool.

The use of generic liners or liners purchased from other suppliers does not qualify.

The 11 liners supplied with the initial Professional Pool package count towards the first 40 births. After these 11 liners have been used for 11 births, a further 29 liners must be purchased and used to reach 40 births. Customers with more than one Professional Pool Each NEW GENERATION Professional Pool has its own separate 40-birth entitlement.

Where a customer operates more than one pool, they must keep accurate records identifying each pool and recording the births associated with it. Okay but impossible to verify

Liner purchases cannot be combined across different pools to reach the 40-birth threshold for an individual pool.

What will be provided?

Once 40 births have been completed in a NEW GENERATION Professional Pool, the customer may contact La Bassine to request a replacement.

La Bassine will provide the replacement Professional Pool FREE OF CHARGE.

The replacement will be the standard Professional Pool package supplied by La Bassine at the time the request is approved. The package includes the Professional Pool, cover and liner, as supplied together in the standard package.

The customer is responsible for paying the shipping cost of the replacement pool package.

The replacement is subject to verification that the pool has had 40 uses. In order to verify this, you must have purchased a minimum of 40 liners.

What happens after a replacement?

When a replacement is provided under the 40-birth scheme, the replacement pool begins a new 40-birth cycle

If a pool is replaced because of a confirmed manufacturing defect before it reaches 40 births, the replacement pool begins a new 40 birth cycle.

How to request a replacement

When the pool has reached 40 births, the customer should contact La Bassine through our website or via customer-service

Our customer service will contact you should we have any questions or require further information.

Once the request has been approved, La Bassine will arrange shipping of the free replacement pool package. The customer will be responsible for the payment of the applicable shipping cost.

Manufacturing defects and other issues

If a customer reports a possible manufacturing defect, La Bassine may request photographs, video or other information and may ask for the pool to be returned for inspection. This is verify whether or not it is a factory defect.

General conditions

The scheme applies only to NEW GENERATION Professional Pools purchased directly from La Bassine.

The scheme is intended for professional use and is not transferable to another customer or another pool.

La Bassine reserves the right to verify purchases and liner eligibility and qualifying births before approving a free replacement.
